71889 Boys

(part 2/3)

5. Warrior

He is gorgeous, definitely a highlight on the boys.

That hair in red is very fitting... To me he is a viking. Just needs to lose that giant axe.

The colors are amazing, and the prints on the torso and arms are beautiful too.

The skull on the axe gets a ball joint, so it has quite a large range of movement!

6. Highlander

Well, I found him one of the less interesting klickys - all repeat, I thought.

The klicky is nice (I actually love the torso, and used it several times before!)

I find the military beret off, but I think that is just ignorance on my part.

But... the kilt is different - though not different enough to be obvious for a non core theme... except side by side.

Actually, the brown from the shield is different also. I found none in the shield box this particular color. Could it be that recycled plastic thing? It usually produces beautifully muted colors that match nothing. Perfect for a shield, actually.

7. Bavarian

He's gorgeous - the prints really make him special. I suppose reuse potential is low, but he is perfect as is.

From what I understood from a fellow playmocollector, it is not off to be eating a sausage just like that

Amazingly, that torso is light metal in color!

There are three lebküchen stickers - to choose one.

The stickers came wrapped in the torso with a rubberband, so that they can be all messed up:

WHY? no idea.

The image in the leaflet has the two extra stickers superimposed (with an extra arrow over the klicky ) - not pretty, and I think misleading.. At least to me, it would suggest two more cookies... not just stickers...

He makes a great couple with the girl's

So great that the set was actually released.

WHY they went with the exact same klickys.. another mystery.

8. Hiker

Another nice wintry klicky.

I think he has beautiful colors - a shame about that pocket.. The torso looks familiar, but I am not sure...

The rolled blanket is a gorgeous color, and will surely make its way to the western soldiers.

The backpack comes unassembled (and one had the brown part missing )
