71890 Girls
(part 1/3)
1. Chimney Cleaner

A very original klicky for the girls...
For me, it's a shame her torso doesn't match the men's - I mean to make a mixed troop
![]()
- Nothing wrong with the klicky all by herself!
The neckpiece in black is beautiful, and the hat is new, afaik - the print, I mean (a bit odd that there seems to be a bit missing)

Note that whoever was responsible for the photos had no idea how to assemble the... thing. I admit I know nothing of the subject, but Click - yes, one of Boomer Click's namesakes! - the individual chimney sweeper (
3316 - playmoDB link) was one of the first klickys here, in 1984. So, I was sure of at least PART of the assembly. And it's not hard to look it up.

The rope came with a bit of tape, as is usual in sets too.
2. Violinist

A pretty klicky.
She looks a bit fancy, with that vest - not sure what she is meant to represent.

Also not sure about those baggy sleeves (AWESOME =

) - but.. would they not get in the way when playing?
3. Steampunk Woman

A rehash of the previous
figure in Series 16.
Not that she is bad, but it's really lame that it's the same torso - I mean she is SO specific... It's a bit strange, imo, to have 2 ladies with that same torso in such a small group.

The hat in bronze is nice (no, we will not think about it in practical terms!

) and so is the skirt (same!). No idea why, but bronze and that gear design equals "steampunk".
I was very afraid the nice bronze bracers would not resist being put on and off a couple of times, but so far so good. I will try not to push my luck with those.

I love the rifle (no idea why). I thought it was the same as before, but it actually has a different color (obvious
in the plastic).
4. Geisha

She's gorgeous, and original. The klicky is beautiful in pale green with the flowery print and the baggy sleeves.
I believe that is a new head - variety is always good.

Though it is not a favorite sculpt, I love the hair in black. It's perfect for her, and much more interesting than the previous white or silver versions, I think.

One had a strange bit of flesh - not sure what that was supposed to be (this is not the first time it happens - the
Valkyrie from Series 25 had a similiar
extra).

Unfortunately one had a mismolded arm
![]()
- very serious, with a unique
right arm
